something every boyfriend has to go through: meeting the big brother. is it terrifying? absolutely. what if that brother is in the United States Marine Corps? now that is terrifying. obviously, her brother is the tallest. but what i wanna focus on here is the smile on her face. that is a happiness i had never seen out of her before, and personally, i believe this is the most adorable/beautiful look i’ve ever seen on her. she is genuinely happy. happiness shows. happiness will always be a positive. long story told short, her brother likes me. and i look up to him (even more than before). to my girlfriend; this is the most gorgeous picture of anyone i have EVER seen. to her brother; simple. two words. thank you. at the end of the day, i had the honor of eating lunch with a US Marine and just all around having so much fun with him and his gorgeous sister. more importantly, i have this picture. a reminder of that face that i love so much, a reminder of what i hope to be my future brother in law, and a reminder of all the fun times we had, and how such a terrifying experience for me turned so magical. Justin, until next time, i’ll miss you, and i will protect your little sister just as you protect us all daily. until next time, brother.
Every time I have uploaded a picture where my scars were visible, people have commented things such as, “look at the scars on her arm though /:” or “her scars :c” or something along the lines of that. It’s honestly just painful to read that because it just shows that this society does not believe that guys struggle with these issues. Whether it be depression, self-injury, anorexia, suicidal thoughts, anxiety, or whatever, boys can suffer from it, too. It’s not just girls. Mental illnesses do not discriminate.
I am living proof of that.
I’M SORRY SO MANY TEXT POSTS BUT THIS IS IMPORTANT
there’s a post going around of some girl linking to a “picture of her prom dress” when the link leads to a picture of a gif’d mutilated face and screaming. i imagine that this could be very harmful to both people with epilepsy or those with anxiety problems and the like. it happened to alarm me a lot.
